Metal detecting is my hobby and I'm seeking homeowners and property owners who will permit me to explore their lawns, lots or fields with my metal detector. Of particular intest are areas occupied or developed from the 1800's through the 1960's. Old home sites, former schools and churches and multi-generational farms often conceal bits and pieces of history and old coins just under the surface. My goal is to locate them and dig them up, and I can do it with minimal disturbance to the ground being searched. Any items of personal significance to the property owner or occupant will, of course, remain with them. Historical items that turn up will be offered to the appropriate public museum or agency. I will ad coins, buttons and other "finds" to my collection of "old stuff." Please respond to this ad if you have an interest.
