Looking for a dedicated singer for an original faith based rock n roll band. Guitar or keys a plus! Rochester/Buffalo area MUSIC STYLE: Rock based but with a touch of country, U2 type guitar, southern rock, hard rock, Americana…a bit of everything mixed in. Simple, yet songs that get you tapping your foot & singing along. Think Tom Petty, Third Day, We the Kingdom, Rhett Walker, Daughtry, Blackberry Smoke, Collective Soul etc. Original music with some covers, Christian & Secular (that make sense like Shine by Collective Soul). I think there will be times that we need to play popular worship tunes to depending on the event. LYRICALLY: Original music with lyrics that are heartfelt, honest and pure with real life hard stuff that is not always talked about in popular Christian music. Not worried about our JPM’s (Jesus per minute) mentions. Think more Switchfoot, Needtobreathe, U2, The Call, (early) King’s X, Lifehouse, The Choir, etc. Sound interesting?
