I hope to find some kindred souls to meet up and swap song ideas via instrument and/or vocals and build some songs. I’m not a covers guy but I might be talked into a good one. I’m an singer/songwriter acoustic guitar player strongly on the 12 string side of things. I have a few open tunings I use also. I would be perfectly comfortable and content trying what ideas you would have in mind as I’m not leader minded. Songwriting with others would be my goal. And laying down tracks would be a huge bonus. I prefer running through effect pedals(mainly chorus, delay, reverb)using my amp and small p.a. Vocally my range is in the land Dylan, Neil Young, the Verve,Church, Joe Strummer, Mike Doughty, while my playing has tinges of organic lush picking and folky strumming. I loved recording in a few studios and played out in the early 90’s which I do not need to revisit however an open stage/mic would be exciting and maybe progress from here to there. I have no rockstar aspirations obviously but I really miss writing with other musicians, be it female or male singers, guitar, bass,mandolin, piano or keyboard players, percussionist drummers. Bottom line: maybe an acoustic sound with ambient shadings and does not make a bit of difference to me who might be interested in such a musical direction. I work full time m-f which makes weekends optimal and 9 times out 10 I’m always free then.
