I'm looking to take some bass lessons from a guitar player that knows how to play Bass and what to expect from a Bass player I'm looking to pay a guitar player $30 an hour to play across from me and guide me into the process of playing, I need to get a feel for cord changes, reading hands. Someone that will share some common knowledge, old Indian tricks and just basically give me some hands on experience. So, I been noodling around on the Bass for several years now and I've gotten to where I can get around on the fret board like I know what I'm doing, only problem is, "I don't know what I'm doing"! I know the fret board, Octaves, root/fifth, Major/minor scales, Modes, Blues scales, I understand twelve bar blues, the Number system, yadda yadda yadda. What I need is some hands on Mentoring/guidance. I am not looking for conventional lessons where you get me a notebook started, show me a cool scale, tell me to practice it and I'll see you next week. Again, I am looking for someone that will sit down across from me and guide me through the playing experience either on acoustic guitar playing along with simple 145, 12645,.....! easy songs and/or Jam on Bass riffs. I like doing Harmonic guitar or keyboard riffs on bass like James Bond, Mission Impossible, Pink Panther and stuff like that. Anyhow?
