Hello, I am a "seasoned" guitarist and keyboardist of over 47 years. First and foremost, I am a believer in Jesus Christ. Secondly, I am what I believe a very gifted and thankful musician, and I have loved and have had a great passion for music my whole life. I have played praise and worship music on and off in various churches for well over 22 years. I want to see what opportunities there are for any churches that are looking for someone like me. I will be upfront and open about something right from the start. I am not interested in playing with another lead guitarist. I do not want to come across as a "Prima Donna", and that it is all about me. It is absolutely not. It is ALL about Jesus. It is NOT about performance. Having said that, I just want to say that in my experience playing live music that 2 or more lead electric guitarists sometime clash and it becomes sometimes a difficult situation and be a logistical challenge on who plays what. With me, you would get a skilled guitarist that could play whatever is asked of me with precision and good taste. I do not overplay and know when to back out or come in strong. I understand what sometimes seems a loss art, DYNAMICS. I do not play over the choir unless the spirit of the song would be conducive to it and that is typically at the very end of a song. I could go on but I will close. So if you need a skilled, easy to work with, and dedicated musician for your church music, I would suggest a phone conversation instead of a back and forth e-mail dialogue. I live on Lake Tillery, NC, so distance of course is something that is important to be considered. I dont mind driving some on Sunday mornings, but of course there are limits on what I could commit to. Thanks so much for enduring this long post.
