Description

Y'all did it, Chicago! We got Dilla a Bus! After months of fundraising, Chicago Mahogany Foundation is now ready to celebrate the launch of our interactive new tour bus the Chicago way! We will also officially launch our perspective-changing fundraising campaign. We have found the perfect venue to mark the occasion, Chicago's most recent and highest venue, CloudBar, at 360 Chicago. Located on the 94th FL of 875 N. Michigan (formerly the John Hancock building), you will enjoy some of the most fantastic views in the city. You will also have unlimited access to one of the dopest attractions in town, the Tilt. The evening will be hosted by ABC 7’s “Windy City Weekend” host, Val Warner. Enjoy fantastic food, drinks, and music by DJ Young Fresh Prince, a Youth Ambassador for the National Kidney Foundation. By the end of the evening, we hope you will agree that ”Everything Dope About America, Comes From Chicago”! We can change the perspective on Chicago through the power of our shared history and storytelling. With a matching grant from The Chicago Community Trust and financing through the IFF, Dilla will now be able to provide a truly one-of-a-kind experience, all while lifting up the history of all of Chicago's neighborhoods. With additional support from The Illinois Office of Tourism, IFF, the Chicago Bears, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Blackhawks, corporate sponsors, and the Chicago community at large, Shermann "Dilla" Thomas secured the funds to place a down payment on a brand-new tour bus. Now we want to give 50 Chicagoland schools a free neighborhood tour. Our organization desires to plant a seed that will foster a sense of pride and community. Your ticket purchase directly supports free neighborhood tours. Each ticket sold sponsors 2 students. Learn more at www.chicagomahoganyfoundation.org. If you cannot attend but would still like to sponsor a student or a class, we would love your support! Please visit www.chicagomahoganyfoundation.org/donate to support the movement.
