Season's Greetings Tangosotans! 2022 has been a wonderful year for tango in our corner of the world! As an organization, TSoM has offered 11 milongas, 5 free pop-ups at Midtown Global Market and Northrup Plaza, a Tango en Blanc Secret Picnic Feast at the Rose Garden, and over 25 Saturday morning practicas! And we are overjoyed to top it off with our 2022 Holiday Gala: Our Best Milonga of the Year. Gala Offering This year's Gala features Bob Barnes' TangOso Project, a sextet of world-class musicians, in the incomparably charming Woman's Club of Minneapolis. The band includes not only master bandoneonists Bob Barnes and Charles Gorczynski , but also violinists Natalie VanBurkleo-Carbonara and Suzanne Dahmberg, contrabassist Sarah Lahasky, and pianist Jay Stotsky. Bob Barnes will also usher in even more tango magic as DJ when the band recharges between sets. Adding even more delights, this year's Gala provides catered gourmet appetizers -- vegetarian and carnivore selections- a late-night dessert bar, and enjoyment of the renowned Woman's Club lounge overlooking Loring Park. Gala celebrants may also access a professionally staffed cash bar to further tailor their night of tango splendor. Draft Program (Subject to Change): 7:30 - 8:30 ~ Social Hour with gourmet appetizers and cash bar in the luxury lounge8:45 - 11:30 ~ Milonga with live music in the beautiful ballroomTicketsTickets for The Holiday Gala, Our Best Milonga of the Year, are only $39 for TSoM members and $50 for non-members. Full-time students just $25. In addition to the substantial $11 savings, TSoM members receive the benefit of purchasing their tickets ahead of non-members, bolstering their opportunity to secure spots at this year's celebration. Attendance is limited; so please avail yourself of this members-only benefit. Tickets go on sale at 12pm November 19th to TSoM members only, with members limited to two tickets: two member tickets or a member plus a non-member ticket. An option to purchase a membership is also available, if you want to upgrade your guest from a nonmember ticket to a member ticket. Non-members may purchase from the supply of remaining tickets starting at 12pm on Friday November 24th (Black Friday). No walk-in ticket sales will be available at the Gala to streamline entry for everyone. All Sales are Final. No Refunds. One is next to the Club and the other is east and across the street.
