Description
Hi - do you have time and capacity to explore a new project? Looking for an extrovert who has deep empathy with introverts, and experience with motivating people (who would normally self-isolate and not follow through on social commitments) to socialize. If you're the kind of person even the most introverted person lights up upon, and looks forward to, seeing, and you have experience encouraging people who wouldn't normally socialize, or be skilled in socializing, to feel more comfortable and supported coming out of their comfort zones, please reply with the following:
1) What kind of time commitment do you have for volunteering for the foreseeable future?
2) Examples of your experience supporting people not usually motivated to socialize, to do so in ways they feel comfortable with.
3) Examples of how you take care of yourself and avoid your own emotional burn out when trying to motivate others who often feel depressed, unmotivated, or withdrawn.
This is a community exploration to see if people who would not normally spend much time interacting with others can connect to build an active community. Looking for a volunteer who is socially skilled, empathically supportive, and most important, energized by wanting to help such a community remain active. Community members may not be in close proximity to each other, so encouraging people to take part in remote socializing (e.g. video chats online) will be the main volunteer activity.
