Indianapolis guitarist looking to join group. This post is not meant as any disrespect to anyone at any skill level. It’s just that I have 40 years’ experience and know what I am looking to do. I am wanting to join a group. (I am 58) Started when I was 16. I am open to most genres but have a few deal breakers. If your set lists are 50% country, I am not a good fit. I don’t mind a little bit. I am not into punk, heavy metal or the scream type of artistry. Not willing to travel over an hour to rehearsal. Please have a PA and a place to practice as I would be joining your group and I find that most don’t have the proper equipment to even think about going out to play unless you are out doing an acoustic duo. I respect all Musicians no matter their artistry or skill level. With that being said I am not looking to be led by a perfectionist who does not work well with others. Please be drama free as no one likes coming into that type of environment, relax and have fun. I prefer to play rhythm but am willing to do some leads and I always stay in my lane and play the support role. Age does not matter to me, when you have a craft and can bring good energy to the group it’s good. What I like is Classic rock, Pop, Alternative, Funk, Blues, Dance, and I am willing to do limited originals. My influences are too many to mention. Again, if you plan to start a group have all items needed to help facilitate the success of your group. I have developed real world experience by playing at Various venues and charity events. Worked with different professionals to ensure performances go according to plan.
