Season’s Greetings. Eagle 102.3 WELR broadcasting out of Lagrange, Georgia will be launching “Performances at the Station” in January, 2023. WELR is a 25000-watt powerhouse blasting through two states and 20 counties in West Georgia and East Alabama with a reach of 480,000 souls and has been broadcasting since 1941. Although WELR is a country-programmed station, “Performances” will play original compositions from regional artists like you and feature an eclectic mix of musical genres. All genres are welcome to submit to the station. The show is slated to air on Thursday evenings at 7p and is being produced in conjunction with Pure Life Studios in Lagrange and Lagrange College. Each 60-minute segment will feature two or three bands or solo performers and air a few numbers along with a pre-recorded interview and plus for upcoming dates. The show’s host will be Juan Tivals, a music writer and broadcast veteran from the New England area, who will conduct the 5-7 minute interview segment. In addition to the wide exposure that performers will receive, there will be on going :30 and :60 second promos for each show as well and deeper market penetration via the station’s social platforms.
