Looking to start an anonymous band along the lines of bands I mentioned in the title (Obviously they’re not alike musically). An unusual music project with musicians/performers in the Philadelphia area. Create a band that’s not only cool music, but a “show”. I’ve got a couple concepts in mind, but each involves “costumes”, so first and foremost, you must be able to perform while wearing a mask of some sort. Seeking a lead singer, guitarist/s, drummer, bassist and possibly keyboards, etc. I sing and play bass, but would ideally like to find a wild front person…or else a bass player and I can sing lead. Most of the music will be our own “original” interpretations of obscure songs that fit a theme. I’m a child of the eighties…that’s into rock, classic punk, post punk, new wave, electro, old school alternative, old school rap, metal, glam, industrial, indie rock, college rock, etc. Age and gender isn’t a concern…I plan for everyone to look anonymous behind masks. Skill is appreciated, but creativity and an open mind are more important to me than straight up musical ability. Having other skill sets such as art, video and recording ability are assets as well. Ideally would like to find musicians that are available to play out often and perhaps even be able to go on the road for short periods of time.
