ROOFING SITE SURVEYOR Full Job Description ROOFING EXPERIENCE NECESSARY Local Candidates Only Please. This is an outside SURVEYING/ESTIMATING position with growth potential. With five offices throughout the state and more than 500 employees, we are Florida's largest and most trusted roofing contractor. This opportunity is an entry level position to start, meaning we provide training for the right candidates. Experience wanted in the following areas, but NOT NECESSARY IN ALL, as we are willing to train the right person. Requirements: Flexible Schedule Must be 18 or above Communication Skills Team player The Roofing Site Surveyor will be responsible for collecting all photos, accurately measuring roof dimensions and data required for a proper and complete assessment of the existing roof and creating a budget and/or proposal to maintain and/or replace the roof system. The Roofing Site Surveyor will work in conjunction with multiple departments within the Commercial & Residential Roofing Division to ensure the success of the assigned project. This position will require travel to various locations where the Company may be performing work. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assess conditions of the job site upon arrival Take detailed measurements of roof planes, vents, dormers, and chimneys Recognize and notate the existing roof's material through taking core samples of the existing roof's material. Capture detailed images of the roof, obstructions, damages, etc. Prepare accurate notes of said measurements, obstructions, damages, etc. Verify the accuracy of the data that was retrieved by reviewing the job site thoroughly Upload site assessment documentation into the cloud storage software and CRM in a timely manner Work with multiple departments within the Commercial Roofing Division throughout the lifetime of the project to ensure the success of the project Perform other tasks and duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision Strong time management skills required Comfortable working with a variety of technological hardware and software Knowledge of Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, etc. Must be highly punctual and organized Must have great attention to detail Excellent customer service skills Ability to resolve problems independently Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or general education (GED) required Some college preferred but not required Must have a clean driving record (MVR) and Background Screen and maintain a clean driving record during the duration of employment necessary for the successful completion of job responsibilities 2-3 years of experience in commercial and/or residential roofing experience. 1-2 years of experience as a roofing site surveyor is a plus... We will train this candidate. Past low slope roofing experience; preferably at an intermediate to expert level Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% of the time PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Comfortable and able to work at heights and walk on all roof types Able to safely lift 50 pounds regularly Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, or crouch for extended periods Must be able to see and hear Must be able to communicate Must be able to safely climb a standard ladder or scaffolding Able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time Job Type: Full-time Schedule: 8-hour shift (this is a salaried exempt position) Monday to Friday Weekend availability License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) Willingness to travel: 75% (Preferred) Work Location: FT Myers with willingness to travel to Pompano and Sarasota surrounding areas For more information, or to apply now, you must go to the website below.
