HIRING IMMEDIATELY DOG CARE PROFESSIONAL Panama City Florida Boarding, grooming and training facility IMPORTANT - WE PREFER THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE: 1) Experience with dogs/cats. 2) Must be able to arrive on time for shift regardless of commute. 3) Must be able to work a flexible schedule (days, evenings, weekends, occasional holidays) 4) Must be a non-drug user. 5) Must be generally physically fit, able to work outside in all kinds of weather (except storms) and safely lift 50 pounds 6) Must have reliable transportation Responsibilities include: 1) Making sure each dogs' basic needs are met (food, fresh water, clean bedding, exercise, attention, etc.) 2) Cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning (sweeping, mopping, dusting, laundry, etc.) 3) Poop patrol 4) General grounds maintenance (washing down outdoor areas, removing trash and debris, etc.) 6) Bathing and grooming dogs 7) Reinforcing training and good manners in all dogs throughout the day 8) Interacting with clients, co-workers and dogs in a positive, cheerful manner HOURS: Full-time team members have two full days off per week: 6am to approximately 1-2pm THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: 1) Has experience working or volunteering at a similar dog care facility or shelter 2) Can work and complete daily tasks independently and take initiative as needed to care for the dogs and our facility 3) Has a positive attitude and bright disposition 4) Has a reasonably flexible schedule and is willing to work a variety of shifts and days over the course of the week 5) Understands that this job is ultimately about the dogs, realizes how important it is to provide them excellent care and has love and compassion for each of them regardless of their behavior, health conditions or anything else. PAY: Commensurate with experience.There is a three-week probationary/training period at minimum wage. WARNING: This can be a fast-paced, stressful job at times. You will be dealing with feces, vomit, mud, urine and dog hair. You will get dirty....every day. Most days are fun, the weather is beautiful and the dogs are well-behaved. But some days, the weather is unpleasant and the dogs are wild.. If you can't stand getting dirty, aren't a morning person that can be to work for 6:00am or can't deal with cleaning up some dog poop, this isn't the job for you.
