On Saturday, December 3rd, Parallax Art Center will be screening a 30-minute film by the London-based research agency called Forensic Architecture. The title of the film is "IF TOXIC AIR IS A MONUMENT TO SLAVERY, HOW DO WE TAKE IT DOWN?" Forensic Architecture (FA) is a research agency, based at Goldsmiths, University of London, investigating human rights violations including violence committed by states, police forces, militaries, and corporations. FA works in partnership with institutions across civil society, from grassroots activists, to legal teams, to international NGOs and media organisations, to carry out investigations with and on behalf of communities and individuals affected by conflict, police brutality, border regimes and environmental violence. The film runs about thirty minutes and will be restarted at the top of the hour, each hour, during our hours of operation. The first screening will kick off at 11am, giving visitors 6 opportunities to witness this moving and timely film. Capacity is limited.
