The Full Strength Father Throwdown This fun and challenging team competition will be held by TBE CrossFit in Los Lunas NM.
All male teams of 2 will compete against one another across 4 events that will put their strength, endurance, and willpower to the test.
Team check-ins: 8:45-9:15AM
Orientation - Standards: 9:15-9:45AM
Warmup - 9:45-10:00AM
Competition Begins - 10:00AM
EVENT 1 - "FULLSTERKUR" (translated from Icelandic meaning "Full Strength"). This event will be a max effort mid-thigh isometric pull using Hawkin Dynamic Force Plates. The mid-thigh isometric is a gold standard in sports performance for safely testing max strength capacity. See this example video. The Force Plates will measure peak force produced and each team will combine their scores to determine placing.
EVENT 2 - "CRAZY EIGHTS" This event will test teamwork, endurance, and power.

800m Run as a Team
80 KB Goblet Squat @ 53lbs (1 working - 1 resting)
80 KB Swings @ 53lbs (1 working - 1 resting)
80 Calorie Bike (1 working - 1 resting)
EVENT 3 - "VALHALLAS GATES" This event will test power and endurance.
For Max Meters - 8:00 Time Cap
50 Burpee over Bar as a Team (1 working - 1 resting)
Max Distance Row in Remaining Time
EVENT 4 - "HUSAFELL" (named after the iconic stone in Iceland). This event tests endurance and willpower.
Unbroken Sandbag Carry for Max Distance @ 150lbs (individual carry)
