Press release from the Cobb County School District: Jan. 7, 2021 The Cobb County School District (CCSD) Board of Education held the annual vote to elect a new Board Chair and Vice-Chair during the special called meeting on January 7.  The Board voted Randy Scamihorn, Post 1, to the position of Board Chair. David Banks, Post 5, was named to the position of Vice-Chair. "I'm looking forward to a great year," said newly elected Board Chair Randy Scamihorn. "As a school board, we want to do as much as we can for our students and our staff." In addition to voting on the new Board Chair and Vice-Chair, the Board approved the Board meeting calendar for 2021.    Prior to the vote, the four recently elected board members took the oath of office: David Banks, Post 5; Leroy Tre' Hutchins, Post 3; Randy Scamihorn, Post 1; and Brad Wheeler, Post 7.
