Come celebrate the coming solstice with Ariel Kusby and Kathleen Converse who are offering a magical Yule storytime and kids' ritual celebrating the release of Kathleen's new book, Luke & The Longest Night. After hearing the story of the solstice, attendees will participate in an energy-raising spell to bring back the sun, followed by the brewing of a magical hot cocoa potion and a Yule coloring activity featuring images from the book. Kathleen is an eclectic witch and therapist based in Portland, Oregon. She is the author of a series of Wheel of the Year books through Moon Dust Press. Her debut picture book in the series, Flora & the First Day of Spring was released Spring 2022 and her newest book, Luke & the Longest Night was released October 2022. Ariel Kusby is a writer, teacher, and witch based in Portland, Oregon. She is the author of The Little Witch’s Book of Spells (Chronicle Books, 2020), a magical handbook for children 8 to 12 years old, and the founder of Little Witchery, a magical apothecary and community for kids and adults.
