This groundbreaking signifies the commencement of the beginning stages for the new Clarksburg, MD community space, The Clarksburg Yard. Clarksburg, MD is the fastest-growing community in Montgomery County, MD. With thousands of new homes built over the past few years and very few spaces to connect with others in the area, The Clarksburg Yard is aimed to fill this void. Dreamed up by Clarksburg Church, this space is for the entire Clarksburg, MD community. Clarksburg Church will use the front of their property, located along the new 355 bike path, next to Clarksburg High school and within walking distance of two other middle schools and new community developments, to make this public space a reality. They are currently in the planning, fundraising, and grant-writing phase of the project to make the new community space a reality. This dream includes green space that will be beautifully orchestrated and designed by the Non-Profit, Nature Sacred. This groundbreaking will feature Nature Sacred as they hear from the community about their hopes, dreams, and desires for this public space. Nature Sacred has granted The Clarksburg Yard $50,000 in design services to beautify this space. As the development continues, The Clarksburg Yard will also include a small indoor space with bathrooms and a full-service cafe. You're Invited The groundbreaking will take place on Saturday, December 4th, and will include a catered soup lunch for all attendees. Through polls, conversations, and various activities, all in attendance will be able to provide feedback and share what they hope and envision for the outdoor green space of The Clarksburg Yard, provided by Nature Sacred. During the groundbreaking, Nature Sacred will: Have an Example DesignHost activities to receive feedbackCreative crafts for children SSL Hours Available (1 hour) for middle and high school who participate in Nature Sacred's activities to give feedback for the Clarksburg Yard.
