Description
I have two pretty young ball pythons they’re young but not quite babies. Ones a female, she’s a Mojave she has unique designs along her body. The other one is a male, he’s a banana and he’s the sweetest. If somebody is looking for a social snake great for holding and to be a friendly reptile companion then this snake might just be the perfect snake for you. He’s always wanting out, my assumption is it’s to be held/hang out. The female hides allot more but she still is decent to hangout with, once she comes out of her shell she does seem to enjoy being out and socializing. She tends to ball up every time she’s picked up by ppl she’s not bonded to and sometimes even balls up when I pick her up. She always comes out of the ball and warms up, she’s just shy. the male never balls up, both of these snakes in my opinion are very good pets and I love them I really did get lucky with each one. I got them probably close to a year apart and the females older. I got them both as small babies eating pinkies, rehoming simply because of small children.. they’re too young to interact with these pets and they don’t get handled enough since the second child. the male was purchased during the pregnancy with my second child who is now 2, he’s a social butterfly I don’t feel this is right he deserves better. We try to handle him as much as possible but he’s actually not been handled very much, it’s unbelievable how friendly he is and how much he loves human interaction. I seriously love his personality I’ve never seen another snake so sociable. I trust both these snakes very much, neither of them have EVER bitten and I give lots of creds for that. I’ve never allowed them to be harmed or even in a traumatizing situation involving young children but there have been times they understandably could have atleast put themselves into strike position yet this has never occurred. Both are considered great with children, they’ve been handled a ton by my nieces and nephews whos ages range from 6-15. I hear about ball pythons biting sometimes just out of the blue that’s why I think these are great snakes I’ve had them a few years and I’ve handled them enough to build trust and I have bonded with them. I recommend the male for a kid, he would make a great Christmas gift if somebody is wanting to let their kid get a snake, his personality is perfect for it. The female I wouldn’t say is not good for a child but definitely isn’t as friendly when it comes to interacting, kids can be hyper and get excited. She just seems not so much in the mood for all that she’d probably prefer a more mellow owner. I do believe no matter the age of the owner, as long as she’s not harmed, or feeling too fearful, she would not ever bite. If she did bite because of fear or being harmed, really wouldn’t be her fault anyway. Rehoming fee is required, theres an option with enclosures or without. With enclosure will cost extra, also they just got was their upgraded larger hide rocks. Enclosures include lots of stuff for them, all of the necessities. Each can include a few meals, if anybody is interested in both they can take the whole package which is several frozen rats. feel free to text about pricing with and without enclosed
