TAMPA, FL — For two years, Tampa police homicide detectives have been trying to locate and arrest those responsible for the fatal shooting of a man and a woman in their car. On Friday, they finally got the break they were seeking. Shortly before 11 p.m. on Jan. 8, 2019, Tampa Police responded to the 8700 block of North Tangerine Place in Tampa for a shooting. Officers arrived to find a Chevrolet Camaro had crashed into a house. The driver had a gunshot wound to his head. He was taken to Tampa General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The woman passenger was ejected from the car when it crashed into the house. She had been shot in the upper body and also died. Detectives developed leads and found probable cause to charge Garian Antonio Brown, 27, of Banyan Wood Way in Riverview Brown with the homicides, but couldn't locate him. On Thursday, detectives got the tip they'd been waiting two years to receive. They were told Brown would be at the Probation & Parole Service at 11112 U.S. 41 in Gibsonton Friday morning. When they arrived at the address, Brown had pulled into a parking lot and was just getting out of a 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe. Tampa detectives arrested him and charged him with two counts of murder and one count of armed robbery. On Saturday, they found an accused accomplice in the shootings in the Orient Jail where he was being held on unrelated charges. Kelvin Reynoso, 21, of Tampa was also charged with two counts of murder and one count of armed robbery. Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Kelvin Reynoso, left, and Garian Antonio Brown have been charged with two counts of murder and one count of armed robbery. Detectives are seeking others involved in the fatal shootings. Anyone with information should contact the Tampa Police Department at 813-231-6130 or Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay at 800-873-TIPS.
