Description
I am looking for someone who can get the building and electrical permits from the city and install solar panels on my roof. The inverter portion of the install is handled by Ecoflow (see diagram).
As this involves building + electrical work, I don't mind hiring two people or a crew for this job - I only need help with the solar part of it.
The plan is to install 24-30 400 watt panels. Ideally, this will be a zero export system which is grid tied (for backup only). All components will be Ecoflow (Smart Home Panel, 2 kWh power kit & rigid solar panels).
You should also be able to do the wiring for the solar install in terms of electrical and help with the interconnection request with Eversource.
I do have an electrician who can install the inverter portion of this: the Smart Home Panel and the 2kWh power kit. What I need is someone who can handle the solar panels and its DC electrical work in terms of breakers, emergency shutoff, etc.
Prior experience installing solar panels is required.
This is going to take a while and that is fine by me. Getting permits, etc maybe a pain but it is necessary for safety reasons. The equipment is pretty much standard and I don't see why we would not get the permits, if we use the same equipment used by the larger companies like Tamarack or Iron Ridge.
If this works out well, I don't see why we can't setup a small solar company for home owners who don't want to pay $$$$ for solar installs like it is currently. It should be an interesting project!
Reply ASAP if you are willing to take on this job even though you can't start immediately, because I need to buy the components, and also do the remaining portions of this job (taking permits for that will take time as well).
