Rehoming English Golden Retriever

I have a 1.5 y/o Golden Retriever named Ezio - pronounced ET-ZEE-OH (male, neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated & I still have his pedigree papers) looking to rehome. He's amazing with older kids and other bigger dogs. Not so much small dogs/cats, which is the reason I would like to rehome him. I've given him over a year to get along with my little Maltese with no success, he is simply too energetic/excited, and likes to knock the littler dogs around, and never understands his own strength. He is NOT aggressive at all I just am unable to handle him. Honestly, I love him, and so does my husband, it is really hard to part with him but logically he is just not the right fit for our family, and he needs a better life. He is the sweetest dog, just looking for love. He literally loves everyone. He's been to pet training & I have his certificate, and knows 'Sit', 'Lay Down', 'Stay', 'Heel', 'Hug', and 'Leave It', and ofc 'No'. He does not chew cables or shoes. He still tries to jump on people (not us- but strangers), it's been hell trying to get him to stop, so if you are elderly or have a toddler, he might not be a good fit. 100% potty trained. He's really the perfect dog. He is 78 LBS.
