Seeking musicians for fusion rock/jazz jam. Idea is to meet up once a month at a local rehearsal studio and improvise over two or three (to start with) standard tunes in the jazz/R&B or rock fusion genres. Short tune list would be selected prior to meet up and emailed to those that rsvp. After three or so meetings, we will have 10 or so tunes to play over, adding more each time. Seeking intermediate to advanced players that are just looking to have fun and continue to hone craft in a non-pretentious, easygoing environment. Making new friends along the way would be a great bonus. If interested, please respond with a little bit about yourself and your playing, as well as your primary instrument. I am a technically seasoned guitar player, from a rock background (classic/prog) with a good amount of gigging experience. Over the last five years, I have revamped my playing completely with a focus on improvisation. I’d like to ease into a new and exciting musical situation. All instruments are welcome, including guitar (especially if we can learn from each other!). The only thing required is a positive attitude. Thank you for taking the time to check out my post!
