Join Rural Action on Tuesday, Dec. 13 for our annual holiday open house at the Community Makerspace and UpCycle Ohio Thrift Store, 751 W. Union St., Athens.
Several volunteer opportunities are available throughout the day for those looking to help out and have fun:
12-3 p.m. cleaning and set up
4-6:30 p.m. cleaning and logistical support during the event
5:30-6:30 p.m. sign-in tabling at Community Makerspace entrance
5:30-6:30 p.m. sign-in tabling at UpCycle Thrift entrance
6:30-7:30 p.m. sign-in tabling at Community Makerspace entrance
6:30-7:30 p.m. sign-in tabling at UpCycle Thrift entrance7-9 p.m. tear down and clean up
Volunteers should know that food will be provided, and that most volunteer activities will require lots of walking and/or standing.
The Rural Action Holiday Open House itself is from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in both the Community Makerspace and UpCycle Ohio Thrift.
The open house is free and invites the public to come tour the Community Makerspace, do some holiday shopping at UpCyle Ohio Thrift, along with our makers and social enterprises, and mingle with Rural Action staff. Our holiday open house is a great opportunity to connect and share some community cheer.
