The Hadassah Generation invites all young girls ages 8 to 12 to join us for a day of girl empowerment! Lunch will be provided for all girls in attendance. As girls mature and go through the stages of becoming a young lady, there are many obstacles they face from the changes in their body to the changes they experience in friendships to the changes they experience in their views on themselves. This event will have workshops that will include topics such as: Entering Puberty, Combating Bullying, and Building Self-Esteem. The "Entering Puberty" workshop will be led by a RN with over 21 years of experience who will talk through the female anatomy, health and hygiene, changes the female goes through from ages 8 to 12 as well as provide a safe, secure environment for young girls to ask questions they may not feel comfortable asking their parents. The "Overcoming Bullying" workshop will be led by an experienced counselor who has experienced bullying. She will provide the girls with techniques to overcome bullying. There will also be a Q&A period where the girls can ask questions and walk through different bullying scenarios. The "Building Self-Esteem" workshop will be led by the founder and owner of "Hello, My name is Beautiful." The girls will be empowered through different activities to love themselves, understand their worth, and build their self-esteem.
