The Women In Industry Conference is hosted by Galveston College and a consortium of eight other area community colleges in the Texas Gulf Coast region. The consortium includes Alvin Community College, Brazosport College, College of the Mainland, Houston Community College, Lee College, Lone Star College, San Jacinto College, and Wharton County Junior College. This conference is designed for all women – veterans, women in transition, underemployed, high school or college students – who desire a stable, well-paying career. Attendees will hear from other women who work in the petrochemical and construction industry. They will have the opportunity to network with representatives from ExxonMobil, Worley, Phillips 66, Union Pacific Railroad, Clean Harbors, Freeport LNG, Turner Industries, and many more. College representatives will be available to discuss training, financial aid options, and other training-related topics.
