You are Gonna Have a Funky Good Time! THE BACKGROUND: Martha High sang alongside the legendary James Brown for 32 years and was his longest-running female vocalist. During her years with Brown, he produced Martha's single 'Georgy Girl' and co-produced her self-titled debut record. Throughout her career. she's shared the stage with Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Temptations, Aretha Franklin, B.B. King, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Michael Jackson and The Police to name a few.
