Learn the Mexican tradition of creating tamales.
During the holidays’ Mexican families and friends of all ages gather in the kitchen to help spread masa on corn husks and assemble and cook tamales. It’s always a party in the kitchen which culminates in delicious comfort food.
From the basics of working with fresh masa to creating fillings and sauces along with techniques for assembling, and steaming, you’ll learn the step by step process.
Each participant will make a dozen tamales to take home and enjoy!
Ticket cost is $50 per person, which includes instruction and all the ingredients.
Class takes place at the Clovis Culinary Center, Thursday December 1, 5:30-8:30p.
