Many bands out there are undercutting themselves by accepting minimal pay at the area bars which in turn makes bar owners want to pay all bands minimal pay while padding their own pockets. Getting $100 per member is a joke, hell I made that and more 30 years ago. If you take into account the rehearsal time, travel time, setup and tear down, playing the gig and let’s not forget the $$$$$ in equipment. If you do the math after a few drinks you might take home $10. Being a drummer I have about $8000 in equipment. For bar owners to offer this kind of pay is an insult, stop accepting this kind of pay you deserve more
