Description
The Basement Blues Project is a four piece blues based band that recently added and then lost a harmonica player. We loved the addition and are again on the hunt once again add a harmonica, or horn or keys, to flesh out our sound.
If interested we’d like to have you come sit in with us to see how we mesh and if anything clicks. No harm and no foul if things don’t in either direction. Meshing personality-wise is just as important, it not moreso, than meshing musically.
You can listen to some songs from a recent set with our former harmonica player on our YouTube page to see our style:

A bit about us and our expectations.
We focus mainly on the blues but love to veer into classic or southern rock territory to keep things fresh and fun. We are all 40 to 50-somethings doing this because we love the music. Our primary practice time is Tuesday at 4:30ish (in our drummer’s basement in Lafayette) with a regular alternate for Thursday but we’ve been known to juggle things around or skip a week depending upon schedules. We all have full-time jobs that are fairly flexible.
We’ve been playing out roughly once or so a month over the summer and we’d like to keep that kind of presence, or perhaps a bit more here and there. We do not however want this to ever become a chore or feel like pressure.
