MANATEE COUNTY, FL — Jordan Mick, 22, has been arrested for the murder of a 35-year-old man in July, according to a news release from the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. Jason L. Nix, Sr. was shot and killed July 30 at The Venue at Lockwood Apartments at 3119 54th Drive East in Bradenton, the sheriff's office said. In October, a witness told detectives that Mick admitted to shooting Nix in a drug-related incident, the sheriff's office said. Based on the evidence collected, including cell phone data and surveillance video, the sheriff's office had probable cause to charge Mick with second degree murder. Like what you're reading?
