Jamey Aebersold is a world-renown jazz educator and saxophonist. He has received the United States highest jazz award, the A.B.Spellman Jazz Advocacy Jazz Masters award in New York City. He is responsible for producing 133 jazz play-a-long book/CD sets and not a second goes by that someone isn’t playing with an Aebersold play-a-long CD. Jamey’s jazz quartet plays numerous educational concerts throughout the year which show people how exciting playing jazz can be. The quartet, composed of Jamey Aebersold on the saxophone, Gabe Evens on the piano, Tyrone Wheeler on the bass, and Jonathan Higgins on the drums, will play songs from the Great American Songbook comprised of thousands of beloved and familiar songs.
