Sit back and enjoy a short journey through the history of whiskey including Scotch whisky. Shannon Hood is an Executive Bourbon Steward and a Whiskey Sommelier. She founded “Pourly Educated” to provide whiskey/bourbon education, sensory training, bourbon steward certification, as well as unique tasting experiences. “Pourly Educated” offers whiskey flights and tasting experiences, and training for individuals, bars and restaurants, corporate and fundraising events. For our event this evening, we will learn all about our National spirit, what it is and what it isn't, how to properly nose and taste your bourbon, as well as enjoy the taste of a variety of whisky from around the world including Japan, Scotland, Ireland and Canada. Hopefully you will gain a little more knowledge and desire to explore other whiskeys in the future. Each drink will be perfectly paired with heavy appetizers created by Britt and his team. So come take a tour around the world, one sip at a time.
