Over the last 22 years Operation Turkey has remained a 100% volunteer organization without a single paid employee. We are more than 30,000 volunteers strong working together to ensure everyone receives a warm meal on Thanksgiving Day in select cities and states across the United States. Please, register as a Houston volunteer at www.operationturkey.com/volunteer/ and follow us on Facebook at Operation Turkey Houston.Here are some tips for the Turkey Tailgate and Thanksgiving Day: ``Please wear comfortable clothing, closed-toed shoes, hair pulled back, and PPE in designated areas.You are always able to select what you would like to do. Cooking, cleaning, delivering, packaging or plating; there is always a job to be done. Any time and help you can offer Operation Turkey is greatly appreciated.Kids are welcome and encouraged to come out with parents or guardians. We also have special programs that enlist the help of the younger members of your family. They will get to share the great Operation Turkey experience with you, and it will help open their young eyes to the importance of giving back to their communities.Thank you for volunteering and supporting Operation Turkey Houston.
