In need of a cat lover to give him love

Description
Over the summer this young male cat began coming around my house. I could tell he was hungry so I purchased cat food and began to leave it out for him along with fresh water. He comes around twice a day to eat. Now with the colder temps he spends a lot more time around here. I have been letting him sleep on a nice bed I made for him in the garage (off the floor) and have the garage safely heated (warmer than outside). I am away from home working 12 hours plus a day (I let him out of the garage when I leave in mornings) working and beginning to travel a lot more. If I had the time to devote to him I would keep him. He has been an indoor cat before I can tell. He knows how doors work. Over the summer he was more skittish and not too sure of me. Now I can pet him and hold him. He is not feral or I don’t think he would rub all over my legs or let me hold/carry him. I believe he has been abandoned. I have posted in neighborhood social media hoping to find his owner if he actually had a home. But I am pretty certain he does not have one or he would not be here so often. I do not know much about cats at all. I am guessing he is around 2 or 3. He has a wild streak at times - when I play with him he will scratch and bite. He has his claws that’s for sure. But he is playing the only way he knows how. There is another cat that roams who has been fighting him and the other day I heard them and was able to break them up. The other cat is quite larger and it worries me. I am hoping to find a serious cat person who will be able to take him in as an indoor only pet. Preferably someone with no children or other pets as I am not sure how he would do with either. With winter coming and longer work hours and more travel time I won’t be able to tend to him and let him in and out of the garage to shelter from the weather. I don’t want to take him to a shelter but running out of time. And I don’t want him to continue roaming as he crosses the streets so slow and there are foxes and other wild animals-afraid he will be badly injured. If you are looking for a forever pet or know anyone who is - please let me know. I can send you pics and more information. But again I want to emphasize that he will need special attention- I am not sure how long he has been fending for himself. He needs someone who knows cats and has the time to do right for him.
