On Thursday, December 1st, Mayor Paul Coogan invites you to join us at Government Center on December 1st from 4:30pm-6:30pm for the City’s Tree Lighting Celebration. The event will feature live musical performances, crafts and activities for children, free hot cocoa (courtesy of Dunkin Donut) and photos with Santa. Each child will receive a gift from Santa. Entertainment includes holiday music from a local DJ, a reading of “Twas the Night Before Christmas” from the Fall River Public Library, and performances from the Durfee High School Chorus, musician Emily Nawrocki, and Studio M Life dance studio. The Tree Lighting Celebration will be held rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved into the atrium of Government Center.
