ATTENTION UNIVERSITY OF NEW HAVEN STUDENTS & ALUMNI:The University of New Haven has collaborated with the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers (IISE) to offer the:Six Sigma Green Belt Certification**“Six Sigma is a method that provides organizations tools to improve the capability of their business processes. This increase in performance and decrease in process variation lead to defect reduction and improvement in profits, employee morale, and quality of products or services. Six Sigma quality is a term generally used to indicate a process is well controlled” American Society for Quality, Six Sigma definition Green Belts are Six Sigma practitioners that do process and product improvement project work. The focus of Six Sigma is to reduce and control variation and waste in processes based on the importance to the customer and the business needs. This Green Belt training is a three-day course that will provide an in-depth understanding of Six Sigma and show how to eliminate defects through fundamental process knowledge. You’ll be able to quantify the critical quality issues in a company and then use six sigma tools to develop solutions. On the last day of the course, participants will take the IISE Green Belt Exam and those who pass will receive a Green Belt Certificate**. Space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Topics Covered: Six Sigma Philosophy; DMAIC; the Six Sigma Philosophy, Basic Statistics; Statistical Process Control; Process Capability; Financial Implications and Root Cause Analysis Program Details: Program Dates: Friday, December 2nd, Saturday December 3rd, and Sunday December 4th Time: 4:00pm-8:00pm Friday, 8:00am-5:00 pm Saturday and Sunday Place: University of New Haven, Main Campus, West Haven, CT.
