Learn more about the home of Akron and Summit County's founding family on a visit to the Perkins Stone Mansion and then discover the role of the community's most consequential resident for most of his life, John Brown. Both houses are decorated for Holidays on the Hill: Celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. Guided tours are available of both homes by appointment at 11 a.m. on Saturdays December 10th an 17th. Please park at the Society's lot off S. Portage Path and walk down the drive to start your tour at the Office and Gift Shop. Drop in tours are available Wednesday through Saturday from 1:00 - 4 p.m. (last tour at 3;30 p.m.) November 30th through December 30th except for the Open House on December 3rd (2-4 p.m.) and houses are closed on Christmas Eve.
