May 30th Alliance x We Demand will be hosting a watch party showcasing different docuseries from We Demand regarding protests movements in Rockford in the last two, nearly three years. From May 30th 2020, to City Market, to Occupy City Hall, all the way to since resigned board member Michael Connor assaulting We Demand. This event is made in an effort to come to a better understanding as a community of the actions that have been committed by the State and the people’s response in these years. It’s an effort to come together in dialogue regarding police terrorism, mass incarceration and racial injustice and the different ways these issues directly and indirectly affects all of Rockford. Donations will also be accepted in advance or in person.
