Bustling engineering and laboratory in search of field techs to help perform standard test methods on building products. Test on roofing, siding, structural members, windows, doors and skylight products. Most testing done on the building so travel is a must. Typical task will include working independently, and on a team, setting up test, monitoring test, collecting data. Test setup, and clean up, is a part of this job. Messy people, need not apply. People who are good with power and hand tools are a must. Climbing on ladders and working on roofs and other building areas. Must be able to walk and carry 50 lbs. Basic knowledge of construction, following instructions, and understanding the big picture are a huge plus. Our ideal candidate will have all these skills and be a great and fun person to work with and be a great fit for our company culture, and have a strong work ethic, a great sense of timing, and commitment to the job and work schedule. Performance review after 90 days with raise and promotion for qualified candidates. We will train. Field tech is must travel (50+ percent of the time, or more). Most work will be in the Ft. Myers/South Florida area; however, some jobs will be out of state in other locations. We will train to suit. Background checks, good driving record and solid references are a must.
