Description
Hello!
I'm a 35 year old singer-songwriter/guitarist looking to start or join a band. I think "alternative-rock" is a good place to start as I don't necessarily like being restricted to one genre/format. I did the solo artist thing for a few years, but really miss being in something collaborative that's challenging, but still unique. I have over twenty years experience with song-writing and performing so I'm ready to go in the right situation.
I have professional gear, a serious yet friendly attitude, and a sense of urgency to my music. I'm not here to mess around. I live and breathe music. Looking for people with the same approach and who absolute love their respected instruments. Ideally, this is a 3-piece band but I am open to a 4-piece with a keyboardist or multi-instrumentalist (backing vocals welcomed).
I live in the NW burbs, but in proximity to the city so I welcome anyone in the area to reach out. I don't have a practice space, but able to pitch in for hourly rooms until we figure out a permanent spot. Able to practice 1-2 times a week and play 1-2 shows a month to start. We can feel it out from there.
To give you a general idea of my style, here are some of my favorite guitarists: David Gilmour, John Frusciante, Hendrix, Jack White, Andy Summers, B.B. King, Jimmy Page, Clapton, Jonny Greenwood, Tony Iommi, Kurt Cobain, and on and on...
I've been called versatile, but I'd rather let the music speak for itself. Here are two links to my older music. The first is my last solo album (also on Spotify & Apple Music if you prefer those), and a performance of an instrumental song with my previous band:

When responding, please provide links to demos/rough ideas and past performances if available.
I thank you for your time and wish you luck in your search!
Looking forward to connecting!
