The Tye Police Department is looking for a dedicated, caring animal lover for our Animal Control Facility in Tye, TX. This person must be able to self-initiate campaigns to adopt dogs, self-motivated to plan and implement strategies for dog rescues. Must have the ability to work without immediate supervision and is available to be on-call when needed. Cleanliness of the facility and animals is a must. The Animal Control Officer falls under the direction of the Chief of Police. Take home vehicle within a 15-mile radius of city limits; ACO certification and experience preferred, but not mandatory, and can obtain after employment. Be able to follow directions and directives from a para-military organization of leadership. Must have a clean driving record and must pass a police background investigation.
