FINALLY! Our gorgeous 2022 Anthology, (a) river rising: RIVERS and OCEANS edition, will be ready for pick up at the Winston Family YMCA (rear of building) on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m to 1 p.m.! Let's get together to celebrate! Congratulations to all the writers and artists whose work is featured in this beautiful book. We are thrilled beyond measure to honor your work in this way. We are showcasing 49 writers and 39 artists, for a total of 88 contributors. Wow! To all contributors: your book will be available for pickup at this event between 11 a.m.and 1 p.m., and we will conduct a special ReadAround from 12-1 so that EVERYONE will have a chance to read their work out loud, or discuss their art, or read and appreciate someone else's words and share how they moved them.This event will be true to WWfac form and honor everyone who attends with listening, appreciation, and perhaps even a standing ovation or two! You may be asked to sign someone's book...we're certain your fans will be legion!Please bring your family and friends to celebrate this moment with you, a culmination of your own personal work, plus many years of Women Writing for (a) Change Jax writers in community, six years of wwfac showcasing women's art, and four years of operating as a non-profit so we can better reach out to make the power of writing accessible to everyone.A major goal of this effort is to allow others to benefit from your stories, and "catch courage" to tell their own—through words or art!
