Guests will be able to purchase or bring a copy of their book, "No Justice, No Peace" to be signed by author and artist Devin Allen. There will also be a Q&A and artist conversation between Devin Allen and local Boston Photographer Juan Murray. Limited seating. Prior to the artist talk there will be a photo walk with Devin Allen; rsvp seperately. About Devin Allen is a photojournalist, activist, and photographer based in Baltimore. Allen is most well known for his documentation of Black Lives Matter protests, and works to tell the whole truth of these monumental events. Allen gained national renown in 2015 when his documentary photograph, "Baltimore Uprising", from the Freddie Gray Protests was published as Time Magazine's May Issue cover photo. He was featured again in 2020, when one of his photos from the George Floyd protests was published in Time's June Issue. He has since been featured in The Washington Post, TheNew York Times, BBC, and launched fundraisers in Baltimore to teach photography workshops with young kids, in a program called "Through Their Eyes". His recent photo book, "No Justice, No Peace", published in 2020, highlights his documentation of the Black Lives Matter movement since 2015, while also drawing connections to the history of racial activism.
