We are excited to announce the second installment of "The Warm Up" series for Mic Masters Alliance. The storied franchise that brought a capella rap battles to the valley in 2012 is BACK with 11 exciting battles, hosted by the founder, Gabino Grhymes and Battle Rap legend Marv Won! Doors open at 4:00 PM MST, with the first battle starting at 5:00 PM MST. Marv Won was recently recognized on BET's Top 50 Battlers of All Time list. But that is only a culmination of a body of work that is without question one of the most storied in all of the culture. One of the more talked about moments in Marv's history isn't even his biggest one. We're referring, of course, to his battle against Eminem on the bonus DVD for "8 Mile". He has been apart of the largest events in Battle Rap history with URL, KOTD, WRC, nominated in 2021 for the, Detroit Music Award for Outstanding Rap MC just to name a few of the MANY accolades. In addition to battle rap, Marv is an artist and producer who is a fixture in the studio! We are blessed to have him in the building to host and be a part of the festivities. Lotta Zay is also a legend in the battle rap community! His battles have amassed well over a million views through the biggest leagues in the world, URL, KOTD, RBE, and more. He has a track record of opponents that won't soon forget his dedication to the craft through his creative penmanship. Easily could have been argued to be on the top 50 battlers of all time. He will be battling Mikey B in a one - rounder sure to turn more than a few heads in the battle rap community! DJ Intimin8 will be holding the event down from the wheels as we keep the vibe between battles! Battlers are also competing for Best Performance, $100 winnings. And Best Battle, $100 split between both battlers. These aren't the types of battles you have at your cook out! Expect preparation, skills, and top-notch rap ability.
