Jonathan and Amanda are performing in Allentown on December 14th! Come celebrate the holidays at Jonathan and Amanda's Holiday Concert! This year Jonathan Beyer and Amanda Crider present a joyous and festive program of Operatic, Musical Theater, and Holiday repertoire. Complete with holiday banter, this fun concert will take place at Nativity Lutheran Church on December 14th. A free will offering will be taken at the performance for the Allentown Food Bank. Jonathan Beyer is a baritone who has performed with several opera companies including the Metropolitan Opera, Chicago Lyric Opera, Teatro Petruzzelli, Oper Frankfurt, Vancouver Opera, Chicago Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, Munich Philharmonic, Netherlands Radio Orchestra. He has given recitals through the Vocal Arts Society at the Kennedy Center, Marilyn Horne Foundation, Carnegie Hall Foundation, and Philadelphia Chamber Music Society. He has degrees from the Curtis Institute of Music and the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. As a voice teacher, Jonathan has taught at the Curtis Institute of Music, Manhattan School of Music, Chautauqua Institution, University of British Columbia and others. Jonathan has also been seen on HGTV, the Food Network, is an official judge for the Miss America Program and is the co-host of The Skating Lesson YouTube channel. Mezzo-soprano, Amanda Crider, has quickly won national attention for her “gleaming vocalism” (Boston Globe). The Wall Street Journal declared, “the eloquent Ms. Crider carried the evening,” while the New York Times praised her “winsome, vulnerable and deeply expressive” performance in the role of Alma in the world premiere of Keeril Makan's opera, Persona with Beth Morrison Projects. Ms. Crider’s concert engagements have included appearances with organizations such as the Calgary Philharmonic, Nu Deco Ensemble, New World Symphony, International Contemporary Ensemble and Jacksonville Symphony. She has performed leading roles with Los Angeles Opera, Florentine Opera, Boston Lyric Opera, Dallas Opera, Florida Grand Opera and Glimmerglass Opera, among others. Ms. Crider is also the Founder and Artistic Director of IlluminArts, Miami's Art Song and Vocal Chamber Music Series.
