Hello Huntsville, Madison and Athen areas. I'm just posting this so that I can meet new musicians in this area. I'm an experienced Country Lead Vocalist and Country Lead Guitar Player looking for musicians who want to play Country, Rockabilly, Blues, Some Southern Rock, Some Classic Rock, etc... I am primarily a Country Musician ABOUT ME: I'm originally from here, but I lived in Nashville for 12 years playing up there and recently moved back to the area. Since I've been back in the area...I have been working with a couple good guys here, but they can only play occasionally and I've had to cancel/turn down paying gigs because they weren't available to do them, so I'm looking for people who can/want to play as much as I do. I am looking for people who are available and WANT to play at least TWO nights a week. LOCATION: I live in the Harvest/Madison area and I'm looking to play in the Huntsville, Madison, Athens area. MATERIAL: I like to play with feeling, energy and Drive! I do Classic Country - (Merle Haggard, Waylon, Willie, George Jones, Johnny Cash, etc..) I do 90's Country - (Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, George Strait, Clint Black, Brooks and Dunn, Dwight Yoakum, etc..) I do some current Country - (Deirks Bentley, some Morgan Wallen, Midland, etc..) I do some Country Classic Southern Rock - (Kentucky Headhunters, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Bros, Marshall Tucker, etc.) I do some Rockabilly - (Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, etc..) I do some Classic Rock and Blues - (ZZTop, Eric Clapton, Freddy King, Jimmi Hendrix, etc..) For those that are interested I can send you an actual SETLIST of the songs I do. I also love adding or learning new songs, so this is not the only songs I do. - FULL BAND - WHAT/WHO I am looking for: SOLID POCKET DRUMMER (ideally w/vocals) (who knows how to "lock in" with a bass player. Who knows when to play the pocket and when to play a fill/roll) SOLID POCKET BASS PLAYER (ideally w/vocals) (who knows how to "lock in" with a drummer and play the pocket) you need to have experience playing Country, Rockabilly, Classic Rock and Blues. STEEL GUITAR, DOLBRO or LAP STEEL (ideally w/vocals) I'm looking for an experienced player that can obviously play Country, but can also play and improvise on Rockabilly, Southern Rock, Country Rock, Classic Rock, Blues, etc.. ACOUSTIC or Electric DUO PARTNER (ideally w/vocals) (Same Material as mentioned above) I'm looking for someone who I can play acoustic gigs in and around the Huntsville area with. You must be able to play all the Guitar Chords in popular cover songs. Must have solid rhythm and have experience working with another musician in a live setting. Steel Guitar, Dolbro or Lap Steel could also work with the Acoustic/Electric DUO I'M ALSO AVAILABLE AS A LEAD GUITAR PLAYER: if you already have a Country Band or play the material listed above and play gigs in the Huntsville, Madison or Athens area... and need a Lead Guitar Player, give me a shout.
