Start the new year with rest and rejuvenation! The Riverside Retreat will leave you feeling refreshed and calm as you begin the new year and recenter after the holidays. Cozy, redesigned accommodations, a thoughtful nourishing group dinner, and daily yoga practices will help you to tune your body and slow your mind to create space for an intentional start to 2023. Capacity for this intimate retreat is limited to 10 attendees. The Riverside Inn features five cozy, newly remodeled guest rooms. Tickets are sold per room and are good for one or two guests. - Event Details Morning yoga with the light dancing on the river and a warm fire will gently energize you for a day where you can relax and enjoy beautiful Leelanau County in winter. Our yoga will find balance between steadiness and flow with spherical, rhythmic movements. Breath practices and intentional and joyful flow will set you up for a day of ease in your body and mind.. After morning practice and breakfast on Saturday, you are welcome to rest and read or join a creative practice of crafting a vision board for 2023. During the afternoon you can add a massage to your experience or join us for a mindful hike at Clay Cliffs Natural area, with lunch on your own. Evening practices Friday and Saturday will help you unwind from travels and a busy holiday season. A lesson on abhyangha (self oil massage) and complimentary oil will be provided. Gentle somatic movement, restorative poses, and guided rest will support your creation of vision for your year. Please feel free to bring your yoga props- your own mat, blocks, bolsters, blankets, and straps. You will be given the space you need to release tension and move at your own pace. She is currently pursuing continuing education with Yoga Medicine and Katonah Yoga, and is informed by Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Taoism & Buddhism. Her classes are lighthearted and designed to orient you in your body and the natural world.
