Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. is a private, not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. The sorority currently has 1,000 collegiate and alumnae chapters located in the United States, Canada, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Jamaica, West Africa, Southern African, United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Korea. More than 10,000 members typically attend Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated’s biennial national conventions, and each of the seven regional conferences (held during years when there is no national convention) typically hosts thousands of members. During the Centennial Celebration, the 51st National Convention, held in the District of Columbia, more than 38,000 members registered and attended. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is an organization of college educated women committed to the constructive development of its members and to public service with a primary focus on the Black community. The sorority has clearly distinguished itself as a public service organization. The Kilgore Alumnae Chapter is excited to host this event celebrating 110 years of Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service and Social Action. This event is open to any member of Delta Sigma Theta and the general public. Each ticket includes a meal and access to the vendor pop-up shopping event. Please bring cash for the vendor pop-up shop, unless vendors offer other payment methods. *DELTAS ONLY* Rededication Ceremony will begin at 11:13 a.m. and is open to all Deltas! Please bring your rituals and penlight. Sorors attending the rededication are asked to wear BLACK business attire, NO PANTS!! Doors to the public event open at 12:00 p.m. and the program will begin at 12:30 p.m. Deltas should wear black business attire (pants are allowed for the luncheon ONLY).
