Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance installation and repairs on a variety of building systems and appliances including plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair and electrical. Apply proficient skills in two or more of the following trades: electrical carpentry plumbing HVAC painting appliance repair etc; to ensure quality is maintained in homes. Perform installations, service repairs and preventative maintenance tasks in homes Participate in routine inspections (including QC move in preventative maintenance machinery appliances etc Report any maintenance concerns for repairs on homes to supervisor and housing coordinator Demonstrate the appropriate and safe use of standard hand and power tools equipment and machinery Complete resident requested repairs and services within a required time frame in occupied units Complete all assigned maintenance work in vacant homes in a timely manner including completing required paperwork Qualifications Two or more years of related experience Intermediate level understanding and experience in the following basic trades: electrical carpentry plumbing HVAC painting carpet care and appliance repair Certifications in EPA and HVAC preferred but not required Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license Ability to lift and carry up to 65 lbs Pass a background check to obtain a DBIDS badge for on base assignments Ability to work productively independently Effective communication with coworkers managers and customers We offer medical dental and vision insurance at no cost to he employee as well as 401k and paid vacation.
